TRICK YOUR TRASH
On April 19 from 2-4 we will be hosting a demonstration by Greenville College students called Trick Your Trash. They will be showing how to use ordinary trash to create new items to save them from the landfills. Start to Finish Fiber
This was really fun, I took the wool fiber, dyed it in my microwave (the one I have that is only used for dying, not food) then pulled the fiber out into "pencil roving," spun it into yarn on a drop spindle, then knit it up, just to see what it would look like. I think I'll make some hand warmer mits since there isn't really very much yarn and it's really cold in this old building! Click on the picture to see a larger version of the steps.
