This was really fun, I took the wool fiber, dyed it in my microwave (the one I have that is only used for dying, not food) then pulled the fiber out into "pencil roving," spun it into yarn on a drop spindle, then knit it up, just to see what it would look like. I think I'll make some hand warmer mits since there isn't really very much yarn and it's really cold in this old building! Click on the picture to see a larger version of the steps.Actually, I think I'll make a little easter coat for our little daschund -- just to drive the kids crazy!
